Sanjeev Sood is President of PSEB Engineers Association

PATIALA: Sanjeev Sood was entrusted the charge of President of PSEB Engineers Association after Baldev Singh Sra expressed his desire to handover the baton in view of his impending retirement.

A meeting of central executive committee of PSEB Engineers’ Association was held today welcomed the decision of the Government to shunt out then CMD PSPCL K D Chaudhry. The executive discussed various other issues including grant of Start pay of Rs. 18030/- to Assistant Engineers, Modification in the age & qualification criteria of Directors and CMD of power companies, promotion of Engineers and full pay to newly recruited Engineers.

Further, a way forward for power companies was discussed in view of precarious financial condition of state in general and PSPCL in particular.. Engineers welcomed the promptness in issue of promotion orders of Chief Engineers and expressed hope that new management shall follow it up for other categories as well.

Keeping in view the long standing tradition of handing over the sacrosanct baton, Baldev Singh Sran entrusted the charge of President of Association to Sanjeev Sood during the meeting. Various speakers placed on record the immense contribution of Baldev Singh in leading the Association during the times of tests & tribulations of last few years.
