Punjab School Board cancels Mathematic paper at eleventh hour

AMRITSAR: Thousands of students of Plus two who were appearing in the final exam of Mathematic across the Punjab today were taken aback when they were told inside examination hall that today Mathematic paper stands cancelled since it was leaked out in the morning today.

Confirming the development, Board official Komal Singh said that today in a communication to the concerned district education officers all over the Punjab, the PSEB authorities directed them not to open the sealed question papers of the Mathematics subject received by them from the banks on Tuesday, March 20, the day on which the concerned subject examination was scheduled.
The paper was to start at 2 pm. Komal said the PSEB authorities got wind of its 'leakage' just an hour before the starting of exam and sent instructions about its cancelation to district officers.
He said that now exams of mathematic paper to be held on March 31 from 2.00 p.m to 5.15 p.m.

Komal said that a high level probe has been ordered and meanwhile FIR was lodged against the unknown persons.

It may be mentioned here that leaked paper was viral on social media today in the morning and reached on the mobile sets of exam superintendents who preferred to inform about the development to the higher authority whereupon today’s paper was cancelled.
