GMADA to hold weekly camps to facilitate regularisation process of colonies

CHANDIGARH: To facilitate and expedite the regularization process of colonies/plots, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) shall hold camp on every Wednesday at 11.00 A.M. at PUDA Bhawan, Sector 62, SAS Nagar.

In a meeting with the Association of the colonizers of Punjab, Housing & Urban Development Minister Mr. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria had instructed all Special Development Authorities to organize weekly camps to address the problems being faced by the colonizers and thus to expedite the process of regularization.

The promoters had brought this into the notice of the department that large number of colonizers were interested in getting their colonies regularized as per provisions of the policy notified by the department, but were facing hardships as to get clarification on some issues mentioned in the policy.         

After hearing the representatives of Association, Mr. Sarkaria directed the officials to hold camps on every Wednesday in the offices of Special Development Authorities.

GMADA Chief Administrator Ms Kavita Singh said that in compliance of orders of the Minister, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority shall hold the camp on every Wednesday at 11.00 A.M. in PUDA Bhawan where issues being faced by the colonizers will be addressed. The applicants shall be extended maximum help and guidance, she added.

It is worth mentioning that on the request of Colonizers’ Association, the last date for applying for regularization of colonies, plots and buildings had been extended to October 31, 2019.
