MOHALI: Former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini has been summoned by SIT formed by Punjab Police to appear before it in connection with Balwant Singh Multani disappearance case today at 3 PM in the Mataur police station here.
SIT headed by SP-D Harnman Singh Hnas IPS will question DGP about the kidnapping and murder of Balwant Singh Multani in 1991 after bomb attack on Saini in Chandigarh. Saini was SSP of Chandigarh at that time. Other members of the SIT are DSP Bikramjit Singh Brar and SHO Matour Rajiv Kumar.
