CHANDIGARH:   The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday accused Capt. Amarinder Singh led Congress govt. in Punjab and Narender Modi led centre govt. for pollution caused due to stubble brning in the state.

In a statement issued from AAP headquarters, AAP MPs Bhagwant Mann and Prof. Sadhu Singh said that just to hide his failure in finding any permanent solution of using waste of paddy so that the farmers are not forced to burn it, Capt. Amarinder Singh is doing cheap politics over it. The leaders said that the Green Tribunal had directed the state and cenre governments to raise funds for paddy waste management but both have run away from their responsibilities.

Bhagwant Mann said that centre and state governments have been harassing the farmers in the name of Green Tribunal guidelines but have not done their share of responsibility. He said that farmers are willing to burn the stubble but finding no help from govt. they are left with no other option.

Criticizing Capt. Amarinder Singh on the isaue of accusing AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and prof. Sadhu Singh said that Kejriwal had directly criticized the centre and Punjab govt. for paddy waste mess and he even met union agriculture minister to relaese fund to Punjab for the purpose but Capt. rather than appreciating his efforts is stooping to cheap politics over the issue.

AAP MPs said that they will raise the issue in the upcoming session of Lok Sabha. They said that already indebted farmers of the state cannot bear the expense of Rs. 6000 per acre so the govt. has to give them the solution. The also demanded to add Rs. 200 per quental in the MSP of paddy for the purpose of paddy waste management.
