Capt Amarinder asks Edn Dept. to work out modalities ensure online education in Govt Schools

JALANDHAR: Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Sunday directed the Education Department to work out modalities for imparting online education to poor students of Government Schools across the state amid COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Reiterating his firm commitment to ensure quality education for poor and needy students enrolled in the Government Schools, the Chief Minister said that the education the department had been mandated to come out with a viable solution to cope up with the problem of those students facing hardships in this regard.

Replying to a query of a Jalandhar resident Deep Hans during #AskCaptain Facebook The live session today, Capt Amarinder Singh agreed with the issue raised by him and assured that soon the state government would soon put in place a mechanism to address this issue. Pointing out further Captain Amarinder said that the existing education system had been badly affected due to COVID-19 adding he said that the state Government would make all-out efforts to ensure that none of any student is deprived of their education.

With the Coronavirus cases spreading across the country, the Chief Minister said the norm of wearing a mask and maintaining two-yard distancing in public had to be strictly adhered to curb the spread. He urged the people not to violate these mandatory protocols and other safety guidelines adding that there should be no need for challans on this count to happen as everyone should act responsibly.

The Chief Minister urged people to be cautious and follow health and safety protocols and the advice of medical experts to keep the coronavirus under check.
