CHANDIGARH : BJP has condemned the efforts of AAP and its national as well as Punjab leadership for trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of Punjab.

BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh today said that AAP, for petty political mileage and gains, was trying to disturb the peace and harmony in the state.

Chugh said that AAP's Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann and his supporters were trying to provoke the peace-loving people of Punjab. He said Mann had been openly giving provocative speeches during his public meetings. "The ECI should take notice of Bhagwant Mann's utterances and take action as per the law," he said.

The BJP leader said it was unfortunate that AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and MP Bhagwant Mann instead of strengthening the democratic values were inciting people to use bullets, stones, bricks to bring their party in power.

Chugh accused Kejriwal of demolishing the established democratic and constitutional norms in Delhi and said that the Delhi chief minister proposed to replicate the same in Punjab too, but people of Punjab were aware regarding his evil designs.

He said that AAP leadership needed to control their utterances during their election campaign.
