JALANDHAR : The negligence of the Municipal Corporation in view of the uncovered men-whole lids is a matter of great concern by the residents of Jalandhar city, resulting in an unreported accidents.
On Tuesday there was an incident which averted a serious an auto-rickshaw accident and saved School student's precious lives had received simple injuries only.
In an unreported auto-rickshaw accident as many as many as nine students of APJ School (Primary Wing) Jalandhar were saved from a serious mishap, when the eight students were travelling in an Auto-riksha turned upside down on Avtar Nagar road side.
Out of eight injured students Nikhil Sharma had serious injuries where as rest of the victim victims were rushed to nearest private Hospitals.
Sources said when the auto-rickshaw was ferrying the students back homes from the school when the auto reached on the Avtar Nagar road, suddenly the auto driver noticed the extended manhole cover, tried to avert the accident in the process he lost control over the auto-rickshaw might be negligent in driving the vehicle resulted in the auto turned turtle.No case was registered by the police said to be in the absence of any written complaint in the matter.
