Punjab CM lays foundation stone of Verka Mega Dairy plant at Bassi Pathana

Bassi Pathana (Fatehgarh Sahib): Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday emphasised the need to bring synergy amongst the departments of Cooperation and Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development to boost the crop diversification programme across the state.

AMRITSAR: Reiterating Punjab government`s commitment for converting loss making cooperative Sugar Mills into profit making ones in the state, Cooperation Minister Punjab, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that besides increasing production capacity of these sugar mills the production of Ethanol and power generation would also be started at these mills in near future so as to make them economically strong.

Deputy Registrar & Inspector of Cooperative Society Gurdaspur suspended

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government would go all out to convert loss making cooperative sugar mills into the complexes manufacturing besides sugar other things such as ethanol, power and liquor as per the availability of the sugarcane at the various places across the state. This decision was taken here today at the Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 in a meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee formed by the state government for giving recommendations aimed at increasing the production in sugarcane & sugar sectors. The meeting also saw the Rural Development and Panchayat & Urban Development Minister Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Cooperation and Jail Minister S.
