Yes in its efforts to bring in hassle-free services in a transparent manner, the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab government has decided to give a unique number to the plots of government and approved colonies in the revenue records which will show the khasra number as well as the plot number.

Property registration documents now available free of cost in Punjab
Taking another pro-people step, the Punjab Revenue Department has made online 19 Draft/Template of documents related to property registration. These documents are available on the department's website and can be downloaded totally free of cost. Giving this information, the Revenue Minister Mr. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria said these documents are editable and consumers can amend the documents according to their need.

Punjab to go digital in property registration
Punjab will be the first state to go digital in property registration on June 27, when the Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh, launches the National Generic Document Registration System in Amritsar through video conferencing.

Punjab: Online property registration a success
Online property registration in the state has been a big success. Barely six months after the Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh launched this pilot project in November last, the state government has implemented online property registration system in 79 offices of 13 districts.

Online property registration gains ground in Punjab
The new state-of-the-art cloud-based National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) rolled out by the State Revenue Department is fast gaining ground. As many as 16201 documents have been registered online since the launch of the pilot project in November, 2017.

CHANDIGARH : Punjab revenue and rehabilitation minister Bikram Singh Majithia claimed here on Monday that the Akali-BJP alliance in Punjab was as solid as a rock since both parties had jointly weathered many political storms. Replying to a query regarding former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu’s criticism of the SAD leadership, Majithia described it as “unfortunate and sad”, adding that during previous Lok Sabha elections, it were SAD-ruled assembly constituencies which had given Sidhu a decisive lead.
