CHANDIGARH: Health & Family Welfare Minister Mr. Brahm Mohindra here today handed over the appointment letters to first lot of 300 newly appointed MPHW (Multi Purpose Health Workers-Male). A total of 1183 Multipurpose Health Workers (Male) have been appointed by Health Department, Punjab through a recruitment process initiated by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. A counselling and online station allocation session for these new appointees was here today organised by the Health Department.

38 victim's kin gets compensation in Amritsar train mishap

AMRITSAR: After handing over compensation cheques to 38 families of the Amritsar train mishap victims, the Relief and Rehabilitation Committee has announced to release compensation to 137 injured from Sunday. Among them 62 are admitted to various hospitals, while the remaining are being treated at OPDs.
