This prestigious award was conferred to the state of Punjab during a grand function organized at Rashtarpati Bhawan, New Delhi on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Mrs. Razia Sultana, Social Security and Women and Child Development Minister Punjab received the award on behalf of Mr. Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister, Punjab. Mr. K.B.S. Punjab and Haryana High Court celebrate International Women's Day
Today, the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association Celebrated a International Women’s day in the Auditorium, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh in the presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice, T.P.S. Mann and other Hon’ble Judges, Advocate Generals Punjab and Haryana along with Lady Advocates and Other Members of the Bar Association. More than 500 Advocates attended this function. Mrs. Gauri Prashar Joshi, Director, Social Justice and Empowerment, Haryana also attended the function.

CHANDIGARH: After many a tactical retreats, the proposal to introduce NSS as an elective subject at college level finally got UGC’s nod. The Panjab University has finally decided to introduce National Service Scheme (NSS) as an elective subject in all colleges affiliated to the university from this session. It is revealed by Mr Bikram Rana, SLO, NSS Cell, Chandigarh. A decision to this effect has been conveyed to all universities across the country to introduce NSS as an elective subject.

SIOLI organise Gramotsavam & walk for humanity at village Seonk
For the first time the bar members of Punjab and Haryana judiciary have come together for a unique initiative. Serving in Organizations for Legal Initiatives (SIOLI) and Punjab and Haryana Bar Association have taken the onus on themselves. The members are organizing a Gramotsav, village walk at Village Seonk of Chandigarh. This initiative is aimed at improving the livelihood and living standards of the residents of the villages particularly of women and children.
