Praneet Bharadwaj appointed DC Bathinda in major reshuffle by Punjab Government

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Government has appointed 11 new Deputy Commissioners. Significant among them is Praneet Bharadwaj IAS who has been appointed Deputy Commisasioner of high profile district of Bathinda, the political battle ground of Badal family-Harsimrat Kaur Badal MP on one side and Manpreet Singh Badal Finance Minister on the other side. He has replaced Diprava Lakra.

Under multi-prong strategy to increase the income of the peasantry, the Punjab Government has decided to import 50,000 doses of sexed semen to ensure the birth of female calves.

“The dairy development department has chalked out a comprehensive plan for giving impetus to this core sector under which 500 unemployed youth from each of the districts of Punjab would be imparted training in the dairy development techniques as well as methodology which would result in the youth not only being self employed but also emerge as job givers.”

Punjab minister urges farmers to avail Rs.50,000 subsidy

CHANDIGARH: The Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister, Punjab, Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu today exhorted the farmers to take full benefit of various schemes being run by the department wherein cash subsidy is being extended for the procurement of agricultural tool and machinery.
