CHANDIGARH: After the proactive intervention of Punjab State Women Commission, a case of rape has been registered against father of Big Boss participant Shehnaz Gill at Beas Police Station.
Disclosing this here today Chairperson of Punjab State Women Commission Mrs. Manisha Gulati said that this incident had come to her notice through social media on which she asked SSP Amritsar Rural to take stern action. She said that on the direction of the Commission, Beas Police has registered a case against Santokh Singh alias Sukh Pradhan.
Mrs. Gulati further said that Punjab State Women Commission would always be committed to protect the interests of women in the state.
The accused is absocnding and police is raiding various places to arrest him. The case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by a freind of Shehnaz that her father had raped her at gun point.
