PHAGWARA: The Phagwara Police have arrested three liquor smugglers and recovered 26 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession last night. The Police have arrested one villager Manjit Ram resident of Village Mehatiana and recovered 12 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
11 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from a Shivpuri Phagwara resident Kala who was arrested near Village Bhularai, the police said.Meanwhile SHO Satnampura Usha Rani said that the police have raided and arrested a liquor smuggler Sohan Lal resident of Village Darveshpind and recovered three bottles of illicit liquor, one oven and a Gas Stove being used to manufacture the illicit liquor from his possession. The Police have also impounded his car.
