Golden Temple Hazoori Ragi isolated, finally resident doctor tested for Covid 19

AMRITSAR: A 26-year-old resident doctor of a Government hospital who was claiming on Sunday she was struggling for three days for a COVID-19 test but she was being declined because she was asymptomatic WAS finally today and her report was found negative.

Confirming about her report, Civil Surgeon, Dr. Prabhdeep Kaur Johal said that today her samples were taken and tested negative, but her treatment for fever was still going on.

However, yesterday Resident doctor Parminder Kaur talking to media here, had claimed that her condition was not good as she was suffering from high fever, chest pain, cough, dizziness and symptoms related to COVID-19.

She said she had requested the authorities at Guru Nanak Dev Medical College and Hospital for a COVID-19 test but they declined saying 'we should wait for some time more'.

She tweeted to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Sunday. 'After a few hours received a call from the CM Office telling her to go for the test and there would be no hurdle.

Meanwhile, a one fresh suspected patient Ragi Nirmal Singh was admitted in the General ward of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, since his chest x-ray indicated severe chest infection along with lungs.

Nirmal Singh has recently returned from America on his return he was feeling breathlessness, dizziness and fever. Today his tests were carried out in the Shri Guru Ramdas Research Institute of Medical Sciences and hospital and finally he was referred to Guru Nanak Hospital for further advanced diagnose.   

He had also performed Kirtan at all the Gurdwaras in India and 71 other countries. He is one of the excellent raagis having knowledge of all the 31 Raags in Gurbani of Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

For his services in the field of "arts", he was awarded the Padma Shri award (India's fourth highest civilian award) by the government of India in 2009. He was the first hazoori raagi to receive this award.
