Covid-19 patient of Chatamli in Ropar died at PGI Chandigarh, creamted in native village

ROPAR:Mohan Singh(55) a resident of village Chatamli in this district who was infected with Corona Virus and died during treatment in PGI Chandigarh was today cremated in his native village.

The cremation ground was cordoned  off by police when a nephew of victim lit the pyre.No other family member of villagers were allowed to visit the cremation ground. Te wife and son of the victim who had also tested positive for Corona Virus are admitted in Gian Sagar Hospital at Banur.

Mohan Singh  has reportedly died due to multiple organ failure since he was suffering from diabetes and hypertension. The district authorities have sealed Chatamli and three more villages in three kms area. A door to door survey was conducted.

Mohan Singh was husband of the village Sarpanch (head) and remained admitted in General hospital Sector 16 Chandigarh before he was diagnosed Covid-19.
