CGC Landran organizes Annual Alumni meet REMINISCENCE-2018

MOHALI: Around 1, 000 former students of the institution were in attendance at REMINISCENCE-2018, the annual alumni meet of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran. According a very warm reception to its alumni of batches 2005 to 2017, the institution also honoured 50-plus of its former students who have made a name for themselves in different professions.

These included entrepreneurs like Rippandeep Singh (2010 pass-out), Manjot Singh (2006 pass-out) managing their own ventures worth Crores, Corporate professionals like Gaurav Aggarwal (2007 pass-out), Varun Mendiratta (2007 pass-out), Richa Chopra, (2009 pass-out), Deepak Jaidka (2011 pass-out), working with top MNCs such as Accenture, HCL and noted artists such as Mandeep Dhami (2015 pass-out), Budding singer Parteek Maan, popular Punjabi Singer and actor Amy Virk (2012 pass-out) and international athlete Mehakmeet Kaur (2017 pass-out) among a host of others. Noted Punjabi Singer Amy Virk, an alumnus of CGC Landran extended his best wishes through a special video message stating that he missed being a part of the event on account of professional obligations.

The gathered alumni were greeted by the top management of CGC Landran represented by Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran who also delivered the welcome address. They commended the alumni for their stupendous performance as professionals and entrepreneurs par excellence in corporate, defence and other industries which reinforced CGC Landran’s credibility as an institution par excellence. They urged them to keep moving forward and honing their skill-set to become even better leaders and human beings. Expressing pride in their achievements, they inspired the ex-CGCians to continue working towards achieving the best and forge lasting ties with their alma mater.

The address was followed by a presentation and a video montage pertaining to college life that took the alumni down the memory lane. Alumni interaction followed next which saw prominent alumni interact with current students sharing their fond memories and experiences at CGC Landran in addition to speaking about their respective companies and/or ventures they are associated with.

This was followed by a vivacious bouquet of cultural performances comprising singing, dance, skits and fun games for the alumni presented by CGC students.
A band performance by ‘Souls Reign’ a band created by a CGC alumnus Vikrant and Singing performance by Parteek Maan another CGC alumnus were the highlights of the event. The event wrapped up with a wall-signing activity, photoshoot and token of thanks disbursed to all the visiting alumni. The evening concluded on a high note with a DJ Party.
