Gems Cambridge International School wins 9 medals in Karate

BATALA: Gems Cambridge International School Batala has won 9 medals including 2 golds in the 9th Indo Nepal Karate Do Championship organized by the Great Buddha Academy of Martial Arts in collaboration with the International Shotokan Karate Do Association India here.

Md Imtazul Hussain, Principal of the Gems Cambridge International School told that an eleven member school karate team led by Karate Coach Amanadeep Singh Dosanjh participated in the championship in which 349 karate players from different parts of the country and abroad participated.

He said that Simranjit Singh and Gursahil Singh won Gold, Harkanwar Singh and Sanchit Aggarwal silver and Sehajnoor Singh, Palaknoor Kaur, Vinay Vig, Vinayak Vig and Gurshabad Singh won bronze medals respectively.

Meanwhile the winning school team was accorded a warm welcome on its arrival in the school after bringing the laurel to the school. The School Director Mrs Manjit Sangha welcomed the school team and garlanded the students. Mrs Charu Pannu .Vice Principal was also present on the occasion.
