Rayat Bahra University students get job offer letters

MOHALI: A total of 205 students of engineering & management of the Rayat Bahra University got job offer letters at a glittering and impressive function organized at the Rayat Bahra University campus here today.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, speaking on the occasion said that the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions (RBGI) organised a Placement Fortnight during which 672 students got placement offers from different companies and it was a unique and pioneer initiative in this part of the country by a private educational institution to bring top companies from diverse fields with different salary packages.

He said that there had been an upswing in placements in the Rayat Bahra University and it was laudable achievement for the RBU that top national and multinational companies were coming forth to participate in placement campaigns on the campus.

Bahra said the initiative of Department of Career Development and Placements, Rayat Bahra Group with active team spirit and support of all campuses proved to be a great success with young graduates studying in final year with Rayat Bahra Institutions receiving 672 offers in record time of 20 days which has itself set the milestone for future placements.

Dr Raj Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said that it was a historic day for the students who were given job offer letters today. He said he could see delight and joy among the parents and relatives of the students present on the occasion.

The highest package offered for RBGI, BTech student was Rs 27 lakh and for MBA Rs 15 lakh. Four students of BTech and two students of MBA got placement in package between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, two students of BTech and five of MBA got placement in package ranging between Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 9.5 lakh, 172 Students of BTech and 75 MBA students were placed in package range between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 4.5 lakh . All other students were offered placements on an average package of Rs 2.4 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.

Some of the MNCs that gave job offer letters to the students today included Tech Mahindra, Cummins, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Luminous Power Technology Ltd, Marico Ltd, Data 64, Just Dial, ICICI Prudential, Karvy, Jaro Education, Club Mahindra, Emilence, Steinmetz Hyderabad, Direct I, Armentum Bangalore, A1 Technology, IMS People, Tommy Hilfiger, Artech Infosystems, and Quaysys Software.
Dr Sandeep Kaura, Joint Managing Director, speaking on the occasion said that objective of the Placement Fortnight was to provide best placement opportunities to young graduates of Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions in MNCs during defined timelines.
