PSPCL supplied record 2826 lakh units power

CHANDIGARH: Punjab on Friday supplied 2826 lakh units which is maximum power supply on a single day till date with the maximum demand of 12842 MW. Last year the maximum power supply was 2749 lakh units on 4th August 2018. The power demand  in Punjab remained continuously more than 11000 in 24 hours.

The total supply of 2826 lakh units comprises of 1204 lakh units from thermal plants and 221 lakh units from hydro projects. The thermal units of state supplied 335 lakh units .The hydro projects supplied 221 lakh units. Today 3 units of Lehra Mohabatt and 2 units of Ropar thermal are generating power.2 units of Ropar thermal are down due to technical reasons and likely to be lighted up late in the evening.boiler leakage.

In the adjoining Haryana power supply on Friday   was 2197 lakh units which is the maximum in this year with load of 10071 MW. The maximum withdrawal by UNBVN was4641 MW and 5231 MW by DHBVN. The thermal units in the state supplied 661 lakh units. Khedar thermal supplied 201 lakh units while Yamuna Nagar thermal supplied 125 lakh units. Private sector CLP thermal at Jhajjar supplied 234 lakh units.  Adani from its thermal units in Gujarat. Is supplying         today both units of Yamuna Nagar thermal   and, Khedar thermal are running. at Panipat 2 out of 4 units are generating power.
