APEEJAY concludes prize distribution, inaugurates Rajeshwari Kala Mahaotsav

JALANDHAR: Apeejay College of Fine Arts organized 44th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony where  Sushma Paul Berlia, Co-Promoter & President, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chairman, Apeejay Education Society, Co-Founder & Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University featured as the Chief Guest. She also inaugurated 4 day Rajeshwari Kala Mahaotsav from 6 March -- 9 March 2019, a fine art and painting extravaganza of a high order.  

A play titled Wo Kaagaz ki kashti; wo baarish ka paani, based on themes of child psychology and role of education in lives of children. The play is based on Munshi Premchand's short stories 'Chori' and 'Bade Bhai Sahib'. Enactment was conceptualized, designed and directed by Sunder Lal Chhabra and Gurwinder Singh, renowned artists from national school of drama.  

On this occasion, 108 university meritorious, 26 Ist position holders, 24 IInd position holders, 4 IIIrd position holders and 42 All round best students, 44 Youth festival winners and 8 highly talented students were felicitated by Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia. Also felicitated was Gorav Kondal, the shining star winner of Voice of Punjab, season 9, 2019. The day was marked by sufi music, Kathak, bhangra and holi dance performances of a superb quality.  

Apeejay also launched/released its magazine Kala Saurabh which contains articles on diverse fields by students and teachers of the College.  

Sushma Paul Berlia blessed the victorious students saying that only achievements don't mark a complete life but real achievement is in becoming a humble, noble and value-enriched personality in life.

Expressing her sense of joy, Principal Dr Sucharita remarked that proud students mustn't get carried away by success rather should continue the winning streak of dedication devotion and commitment.
