Health cards to be issued to 2.5 crore population in Hr: Vij

CHANDIGARH : Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij, said that Haryana would soon become the first State to issue health cards to all 2.5 crore citizens. Tenders have been allotted to private agencies to prepare the health cards.

He said that the new building was being constructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore. The two remaining blocks would be completed by June, 2017. The air-conditioned OPD block, constructed over an area of 3,248 square metres, comprises 50 rooms, 12 toilets, a lift and has modern medical equipment. While OPD services would be available for different specialities, the AYUSH wing has been established on the third floor to provide Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Unani and Siddha treatment facilities.
He said that 19 Community Health Centres (CHCs) and 72 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) were being constructed, buildings of 10 hospital , 15 CHCs and 15 PHCs would soon be constructed.
