PAHGAWAR: The number of covid vaccinations in the district has crossed 11 lakh. Disclosing this here today Dr. Gurinder
Bir Kaur, Civil Surgeon, Kapurthala said that vaccination is very important to prevent covid and both the doses should be taken by the
beneficiaries. She also said that booster doses have been introduced for health workers, frontline workers, patients with comorbid
conditions and patients over 60 years of age to prevent the third wave of covid. She appealed to the people of the district that no one should be deprived of vaccination. Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinder Bir Kaur has appealed to the people to follow the Covid Appropriate Behavior even after vaccination.
On the occasion DIO Dr. Randeep Singh and Senior Medical Officer Phagwara Dr Lehmber Ram said that special camps were being organized
to achieve the target of 100% vaccination so that no beneficiary would be deprived of vaccination. SMO said that a total 81000 persons have
been vaccinated to prevent Covid in Phagwara as 78389 adults and 2610 boys and girls of 18+ have been given first dose of vaccine, while
69039 persons have also been vaccinated with second dose. SMO disclosed that only 3425 persons got precaution dose till now.
