9 Nominations filed in Punjab on the first day

CHANDIGARH: The poll process for Parliamentary Elections in Punjab started today with the issuance  of the notification regarding nominations. On the first day, only nine nominations had been filed in the State.        

Disclosing this here today the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Dr. S. Karuna Raju said that Kabal Singh (Independent) has filed his nomination for the Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-02 Amritsar while Mr. Santokh Singh Chaudhry and Vikramjit Singh Chaudhry of the Congress Party filed their nominations for PC 04-Jalandhar (SC).

He further said that Badal Singh has  filed his nomination as (Independent) for PC 09-Faridkot (SC), Raghunath Singh CPI (M) for PC 06-Anandpur Sahib, Baldev Raj Katana of National Justice Party and Jai Prakash Jain (Independent) for PC 07-Ludhiana.

Gursewak Singh SAD (Amritsar) (Simranjit Singh Mann) for PC 11- Bathinda and Mahinder Pal Singh of Bhartiya Lok Sewa Dal for PC -12 Sangrur", he added.
