Rayat Bahra varsity signs pact with UK university

MOHALI: The Rayat Bahra University today signed a MoU with the University of Northampton, UK, with a view to establishing academic cooperation and achievement of common goals.
The memorandum of understanding was signed In the presence of Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions and Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, Dr Raj Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, Sandeep Kaura, Joint Managing Director of the Rayat Bahra University, Puneet Malhotra, Regional Director-South Asia, University of Northampton, and Matthew Haines, Director International Affairs, University of Northampton.

As per the MoU it was jointly agreed to promote activities such as exchange of teaching and research personnel, student exchange programs, development in research activities and exploration of collaboration at various levels and activities of mutual interest.
Bahra said that the aim was to enhance international goodwill and understanding and to further contribute to the achievement of goals and objectives of both the universities.
He said as higher education institutions with complementary missions, Rayat Bahra University and the University of Northampton share interests and objectives in student exchange and joint programme development matters. Both institutions were interested in establishing academic co-operation with institutions of a similar nature in order to assist in the achievement of their goals and objectives in such matters.

Rayat Bahra University and the University of Northampton have jointly agreed to subscribe to a co-operative relationship in order to promote the exchange of teaching and research personnel, exchange of students, development in research activities, and exploration of collaboration at course level, for example articulation arrangements.
