Rayat-Bahra organizes expert talk on IPR

PATIALA: Rayat Bahra Group, Bahra Department of Management, organized an expert lecture by Rahul Taneja, of the Patent Information Center, Haryana Department of Science and Technology, on `How to become a successful entrepreneur with the help of IPR’.
In his lecture, he made the students aware of the concept of IPR (Intellectual Property Rights). He explained in detail the characteristics of IPR and gave many illustrations. He provided detailed information regarding Trade Mark, explained its uses and dwelt on the process and methods of how to register for a Trade Mark.
He elaborated on the difference between Trade Mark and Service Mark and Copyright. He also spoke about the Trade Mark importance in India with special reference to globalization. He also told the students about the online scholarship courses in the field of science and technology.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions (RBGI), said in his message that such expert lectures provide the students a combination of fundamental knowledge and life-long learning skills that would prepare them for a successful career.
Campus Director Dr Piush Verma welcomed the expert and appreciated the Management Department for organizing the lecture on IPR. He said that the focus of this lecture was to make the management students aware of the different types of entrepreneurship cultures and firm performances.
He said that the Rayat Bahra Group wanted to provide the students technical proficiency and creative project planning skills into practice along with academic and professional applications. He said that Patiala Campus conducts such lectures to give the students knowledge which would help them get placements with leading companies.
