KCGC appoints Dr.Bala as Principal KCET

AMRITSAR: Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) today appointed Dr.Manju Bala as Principal of Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET). Having the experience of 15 years in teaching in engineering, Dr. Bala joined the duty in presence of KCGC honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina and other office-bearers here today.

Chhina said Dr.Bala would be an asset for the institution that had already been emerging as a major institute of engineering in the area. She is Ph.D in Computer Science and was already working in the College as Associate Professor. ``I am happy to serve the Khalsa Institution and thankful to the management for showing confidence in my capabilities.’’, she said.

Meanwhile, Dr. present incumbent Dr. Amarpal Singh who completed his five year deputation as Principal of the College was given a warm send off by the staff and management. He was honoured for the services he rendered for the institution as he said that he was interested to serve more but as his deputation could not be extended due to government service rules he was leaving the post but would continue to serve the KCET in advisory capacities.

KCGC Additional honourary secretary Sawinder Singh Kathunangal, Joint secretaries Gunbir Singh, Ajmer Singh Heir, Sukhdev Singh Abdal. SS Mannan, Rabir Singh and staff members were present.
