Gurpurab of Guru Arjun Dev celebrated at Khalsa College

AMRITSAR: The 'Gurpurab’ of Guru Arjun Dev Ji was celebrated at historic Khalsa College’s Gurdwara complex with religious devotion and fervor today. The students from Sri Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women recited hymns from Gurbani and an Ardas (prayer) was performed as the students, staff and teachers gathered in large number for the religious function.

Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina bestowed `Siropas’ (robe of honour) upon students performing `kirtan’ and said that we must follow the path of righteousness and sacrifice shown by the Guru. He said the today world is full of vices and degrading human values and we must follow the teachings of Guru.

On the occasion Dr. Inderjit Singh Gagoani gave a detailed account of the history and life story of the Guru. The KCGC office bearers including Sukhdev Singh Abdal, Principal Dr.Mehal Singh Principal present during the religious celebration.
