Amazon to Provide Customers Access to Innovative Products and Gadgets on Prime Day Sale

E-commerce giant Amazon is once again organizing the Prime Day Sale for its Prime customers in 17 locations including India. The annual shopping event of the online retailer was a major success after it was introduced in India last year while Amazon has been organizing the event already for the past three years in its other locations. This time the sale starts at 12 pm on July 16 and will continue for 36 hours.

However, last year the sale lasted for 30 hours, this year the duration has been increased by 6 hours, after observing the overwhelming response from the members. This sale will bring various deals and offers on various products exclusively for the almost 100 million prime subscribers of the participating countries, including India. Prime Membership in India entitles its customers to get free and faster deliveries on eligible products and enjoy music and video streaming services for a yearly charge of Rs.999.

However, for Indian customers, the major highlight of the event this year will be the products developed by various startups in the country. Named as ‘Amazon Launchpad', the initiative provides an opportunity to various new ventures to launch their products on the online platform. Almost 18 startups will be introducing their products across various categories which include electronics, food items, beauty and wellness, home décor, toys and many more.

According to Amandeep Lohan, Head of Amazon Launchpad India, the company is helping young business ventures to demonstrate their products to the few million Prime members through this initiative. The company has brought almost 250 new ventures under its fold already, from which few will be participating in the mega sale event this year.

Deals for Prime Members

AutoWiz will introduce Auton Wiz HotSpot, a connected solution that can turn a car into a WiFi hotspot with 4G speed. The product will also help the user to supervise the health of the car, get ideas to save fuel and drive safely.

Fego is going to launch an air suspension seat add-on, especially for mountaineers. This comes with additional grip and superior straps to prevent back pain and help mountain riding.

Solidus Life sciences will be launching an intimate hygiene product for men and an anti-chafing stick suitable for sprinters.

RoadGods will launch two specially designed backpacks namely the Ghost of the Blue Moon, which will be theft and water resistant and the Xator Backpack.

Spruce Shave Club will introduce men’s grooming products that include a Natural Beard Growth Oil and a Premium Beard Wash.

TGL Co. will be presenting the Imperial Treasure Coffee Gift Box, which will be perfect as a gift or for personal use. This special pack contains pure Arabica Coffee Beans, handpicked from farms in Ethiopia, Brazil and India. The micro-roasted coffee beans are going to provide excellent flavour and taste.

PicaVue will introduce digital photo frames having full HD IPS Display with HDMI.Mansaa is launching a WiFi enabled LED bulb known as SmartShine, that is also compatible with Amazon Alexa.

Smartivity which produces toys and games will be presenting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) Do-It-Yourself Toys.New Hair Densify Solution and Hair Colour Shampoo are going to be launched by beauty brand Looks21 Lifestyle.Another beauty and wellness brand will introduce the PureSense Relaxing Macadamia Exfoliating Body Cleansing Gel.

Amazon’s venture in India

Amazon has launched its Launchpad program for the last two years and has provided many aspiring entrepreneurs with a platform to launch their unique products. According to the company, almost 30000 startup products are listed across more than 30 categories. The exclusive sale on the Prime Day will help such ventures to find their place in the competitive Indian market.

The 60 per cent increase in its collection during the Prime Day Sale last year has made the global e-commerce behemoth confident about repeating the success this year as well. According to the NASSCOM Startup Report, India occupies third place in the global startup ecosystem. Amazon's Launchpad initiative not only offers a platform to the entrepreneurs but also ensures a very prospective outcome.
