Investiture ceremony organised at MGN public school Jalandha

KAPURTHALA: The momentous day dawned to bestow responsibilities on the deserving young talent of the school to lead their school from the front with their commitment , confidence and competence. The school organised the ceremony with great enthusiasm. It was an occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school, to inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of being an important and integral part of the administrative body. The Chief Guest of the day was Brigadier A.S. Bajaj(President of North Selection Committee SSB). He was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Bajaj . A formal welcome was given to them , they were presented a bouquet and a set of books by the Principal Mrs. Rashmi Sharma. The Chief Guest Brigadier A.S. Bajaj, Mrs. Bajaj , Principal Mrs. Rashmi Sharma and Vice Principal adorned the Head Boy , Head Girl and the House Captains with badges & sashes. The other house appointees were honoured by the Coordinators, Incharges, House Masters and Deputy House Masters. The Principal administered the oath to the newly selected ‘Prefectural Body’. The students took an oath to uphold the ethos and motto of school, pledged to abide by the rules , regulations and perform their duties with honesty and sincerity and to the best of their abilities. The Chief Guest congratulated the Students Council. He shared his experience of life and said that one should be exemplary in life. He motivated the students to organise themselves, make a timetable, set goals and make efforts to achieve them. He said that failures are a part of life but they are also the steps to success so one should learn to overcome them. He also asked the students to be role models for their juniors , help in solving their problems and they should have love and respect for parents and teachers. In the end he said that one should work hard and enjoy life. The Principal Mrs. Rashmi Sharma congratulated the office bearers, told them to honour the trust reposed upon them and take the school to newer heights of resplendence. She reminded them that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for and urged them to take the responsibility with commitment. She also thanked the guests and the parents for sharing their valuable time to grace the occasion. The Head Boy & the Head Girl thanked the Principal and the teachers on behalf of the Students Council for giving them a great responsibility which they promised to do with utmost dedication. The function ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
