US Senators, Congress Representatives condemn attack on Amarnath pilgrims

INDIANAPOLIS : Senator Joe Donnelly, Senator Todd Young, Congresswoman Susan W Brooks and Congressman Todd Rokita have strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Amarnath yatris (pilgrims) in Kashmir. In the militant attack on the pilgrims bus on the Jammu-Kashmir National Highway last Monday seven pilgrims were killed and 12 injured.
Denouncing the attack on the innocent pilgrims by the terrorists, Senator Joe Donnelly in a statenment said "I join my colleagues denouncing the terrorist attack on Hindu pilgrims in Kashmir. We mourn and innocent lives lost and pray for the loved ones."
Senator Todd Young also condemned the terrorist attack on the pilgrims going to the holy Amarnath Cave said "I join the world in condemning the terrorist attack on Hindu pilgrims in Kashmir. My thoughs are with the victims and their families."
Describing the terrorist attack on pilgrims as devastating, Congresswomen Susan W Brooks said "The recent terror attack on Amarnath Yatra pilgrims is devasting. Terrorism has no borders. We must stand united against acts of violence."
Congressman Tood Rokita also strongly condemned the recenty attack on Himdu pilgrims in Kashmir. In a statement Tood Rokita said "My thoughts and prayers are with the those affected by the terrorist attack in India earlier this week. Terrorism has no place in our world and I am standing in full support of India as they grieve over this tragedy."
Indiana India Business Council (IIBC) founder and president Raju Chinhala thanked the senators and Congress representatives for condemning the terrorist attack on the pilgrims and strong support to India. Raju, who is also president of the Indiana India Association said "Deeply saddened at the cowardly attack on innocent AmarnathYatra Hindu pilgrims. My thoughts and prayers are with you India."
