PHAGWARA: The CIA Staff Phagwara headed by SP(Investigation) Manpreet Dhillon today successfully recovered One Kilogram of Heroin worth Rs Five Crores and Drugs money of Rs 7.20 Lac from two narcotic smugglers who were arrested by CIA Phagwara team headed by Inspector Harmeek Singh from Jaipur (Rajasthan) on Friday.
Senior Superintendent of the Police Kapurthala Satinder Singh while confirming it told this correspondent here on Saturday Evening that the arrested narcotic smugglers were identified as Sarabjit Singh resident of Mehtabgarh in Kapurthala and Varun Kumar resident of Sarpanch Colony in Kartarpur who were wanted in a criminal case registered against them on May 16 this year.
SSP said after getting a tip off the police party was dispatched to Rajasthan who succeeded to nab these drugs smugglers. The Police have also impounded their White Swift Car no PB-9AE-9217 being used in committing crime. A case under NDPS act, 188/269 and Epidemic Disease Act have been registered against these criminals added SSP Satinder Singh.
