Patwari’s aide nabbed red handed by Punjab vigilance

CHANDIGARH:  State Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a private person hired by a revenue Patwari red handed for accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000/-.

Disclosing this here today a spokesman of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said Paramjeet Singh, a middle man of Patwari, revenue halqa Taraf Sainda in Ludhiana district was caught red handed on the complaint of Paramjit Singh of model town, Ludhiana city.

Giving details he said the complainant approached the VB and alleged that the above named accused was demanding bribe of Rs. 20,000 for correction in Fard of his plot.

After verifying his complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed taking bribe money of Rs. 20,000 in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at VB police Ludhiana and further investigation was under progress.
