One dead, 27 children fell ill after partaking prashad in Gurdawara

BATALA: One child has been died and 27 other were fell ill when they took prashad from Guru Teg Bahadur in Guru Nanak Nagar here last night.
The victims were admitted in the civil and private hospital and four of them were referred to Guru Nanak Dev hospital Amritsar after their condition stated to very critical.
The dead child was identified as Baljit Singh (One and Half year), a resident of Guru Nanak Nagar and other children were also belonged to the Guru Nanak Nagar.
According to police the priest Paramjit Singh who distributed the prashad after the performing of Rehras Path, taken into the police custody and police was watching the CCTV fottage.
After getting the sad news the deputy commissioner Gurdaspur Pardeep Aggarwal , Civil Surgeon Dr H S Ghai and SSP Deepak Hilori reached at spot and started the investigations.
The health department team has collected the sample of the prashad and sent to the labortary.
Jaspal Singhj whose son died and another got serious after taking the parshad told that his both son feeling uncomfortable when they reached from the Gurdwara and admitted to civil hospital where his younger son Baljit Singh died and the condition of his another son abhijit Singh was stable.
