LOHIANA:The Lohian Khas police have arrested one person and booked 18
persons on the charges of attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and
firing.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Rajindar Singh said that the accused
has been identified as Satta Cheema a resident of Mannu Mashi
village in FerozePur and booked accused have been identified as Sunil
Masih , Navi alias Biji, Manjindar Singh residents of Mandala village ,
Kamaljit Singh a resident of Mannu Mashi village in FerozePur, Sukha
a resident of Kutbiwal village Balraj Singh a resident of Shahwala
village in Kapurthala , Hira a resident of Bharoanna village Kapurthala
and Dipu a resident of Mullewal Khehra village and their ten
unidentified accomplices
SHO said that the accused travelling in five vehicles came to Kutbiwal
village and blindly opened fire with intention to kill.
SHO said that Gurprit Singh son of Balwindar Singh a resident of
Kutbewal village was seriously injured in this firing.
SHO said that a case under sections 307(attempt to murder), 160
(punishment for committing affray) , 120-B(criminal conspiracy ) and
148 , 149 (rioting ) of the IPC and sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms
Act has been registered against the accused and further investigations
are on.
SHO said one accused Satta Cheema has been arrested.
ASI Avtar Singh said that another case has been registered against the
accused under different sections of the IPC and Arms Act against above
accused on a complaint from Gurprit Singh of Kutbewal village.
