Delhi: CBI arrests 2 DDA officials for 'taking bribe'

NEW DELHI : The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Director and an official, both working in Delhi Development Authority, Vikas Sadan, New Delhi in a bribery case.
This was disclosed by R.K.Gaur, Spokesperson of the CBI today.He said A case was registered against the accused on a complaint alleging that the accused demanded a bribe for issuing No Dues Certificate against a property located at Azad Market, Delhi. CBI laid a trap and caught the Assistant Director red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.4,000/- from the complainant. The other official (a Lower Divisional Clerk) posted in said office was also arrested in the said bribery case. Searches were conducted at the premises of both the accused which led to the recovery of certain documents.
Both the arrested accused are being produced today before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Patiala House Court, New Delhi.
