CBI arrests three officials of Narcotics Control Bureau in bribery case

NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested two officials (IOs) and one constable of NCB, Bhubaneswar in an alleged bribery case.
This was stated by RK.Gaur, Spokesperson of the CBI  today. He said a case was registered on the allegations that an IO, NCB, Bhubaneswar demanded a bribe of Rs. 3,00,000/- from the complainant and told him that his name figured in an NDPS Act case of NCB and he would remove his name from the case.
 It was further alleged that the accused contacted the complainant for the said bribe and directed him to meet at Kalinga Nagar, Bhubaneswar. CBI laid a trap. The accused accepted the bribe of Rs. 1,00,000/- from the complainant. His accomplice an IO & one Constable of NCB, Bhubaneswar office were also arrested during the investigation. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused which led to the recovery of incriminating documents. 1.024 kg ganja was also found from the office Almirah of the accused and the same was handed over to the Superintendent, NCB, Sub-Zone, Bhubaneswar for taking further necessary action.
The arrested persons are Gyan Prakash, IO, NCB, Bhubaneswar and his accomplice Satish Kumar, other IO, NCB, Bhubaneswar & S. Kujur, Constable, NCB, Bhubaneswar

The arrested accused were produced before the Special Judge, CBI, Bhubaneswar and remanded to custody.
