Bike borne miscreants rob Nawashahr woman

NAWANSHAHR: Two bike-borne miscreants here on Tuesday robbed a woman, an anganwari worker of her purse containing some cash, a mobile phone, ATM cards etc.

The victim Jaswant Kaur, a resident of Toor Colony on Chandigarh Road, said after getting the proceeds of an insurance policy from the LIC office, she along with her friends, was going on foot towards Waheguru Nagar when near the Apex Hospital two miscreants with masked faces on a motorbike came from behind and ran away with her purse after giving her a push. The purse contained nearly Rs 27,000 in cash, a mobile phone, two ATM cards and some other documents. The city police have started investigations after registering a case.
