Bains brothers raise questions on Judiciary in Khaira drug case, demands CBI probe

CHANDIGARH: The Lok Insaf Party, an alliance aprtner of Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) in Punjab has raised serious questions on role of judciary in the matter of drug case against Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira.

Simranjit Singh Bains LIP MLA while addressing a press conference here today said that Sukhpal Khaira was falsly implicated in the drug case and Judiciary was influenced to drag Khaira in the case. He alleged that name of a sitting judge of Punjab and Haryaan High Court has cropped up in the case and it shoild be probed by CBI. He released an audio clip of conversation between a dismissed PCS officer T.K.Goyal and former Additional Advocate General, an appointee of Badals, Amit Chaudhary in which the latter is explaining about Khiara case in which Rs.35 lakh bribe was paid to High Court judge to dismiss the revision petition of Khaira.

Khaira has been summoned by the Additional district session judge Fazilka in a drug related case and Khaira had moved High Court for cancellation of trial court order and non-bailable warants against him. The High Court had refused to cancel the case but stayed the non-bailabke warrants. Bains claimed that he also had video evidence of bribe paid to judge to refuse justice to Khaira. He said that he would present all the evidence if CBI inquiry is ordered.

Khaira in the meanwtime said that it was abigger conspiracy hatched against him by Sukhbir Badal, Bikram Majithia, Rana Gurjit Singh and name of Capt Amarinder Singh has also figured in the audio conversation. He said that CBI inquiry could eastablish the truth. He alleged that even the Fazilka court decision was procured by vested interests.

In the evening Bains brothers Simranjit Singh Bains, Balwinder Singh Bains and Khaira met the Punjab Governor and demanded CBI inquiry into the case. They have also sought an appointment from Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice. They said that they would also approach Chief Justrice of India for probe into rle of judiciary in this case.
