Assam woman killed two daughters, attemptes suicide in Punjab village

PHAGWARA: An Assam Village Tejpur Resident Young Woman identified as Munni(24) presently working in Nakodar reportedly murdered her two minor daughters Neha(3) and Meena(1) by throwing them in a village Fish Farm(Pond) and later attempted  to suicide herself by hanging herself with a tree in nearby village Kishanpura on Sunday evening.

Station House Officer Chiherru Baljinder Singh while confirming the incident told this correspondent this evening that the accused woman could not succeeded to end her life as the branch of the tree with which she hanged with a cloth suddenly broke and she fell down. Several Villagers including Village Chowkidar Vishal rushed to save the life of woman accused who told them about throwing her two kids in the Fish Farm. SHO told that the dead bodies of both kids were recovered  from the pond and sent to civil hospital for post-morterm examination.

S.P.Phagwara Parminder Singh Bhandal told that the accused Woman has been arrested under section 302 IPC who disclosed that her husband Suraj resident of Jharkhand  who went away without telling her always suspected on her character and was denying the biological father of the kids so she took the extreme step. She said She was badly fed up from life so decided to kill her daughters and herself.
