Vinod Chauhan elected president of the Photo Art Society

CHANDIGARH: Vinod Chauhan, a renowned international photographer was elected president of the Photo Art Society (TPAS), a voluntary non-profit organization for the third time in a row.

The election for the new governing council was held recently. Other members of the governing council are Hemant Chauhan (Vice-President); Neetu Katyal (General Secretary); Puneet Arora (Joint Secretary); Anup Sood (Treasurer); Swaan Sharma(Press Secretary); V.k. Joshi (executive members and Deep Bhatia (Advisor).

Other subcommittee members elected were AmritRai – Chairman Workshops, Prashant Bhardwaj – Chairman Photowalks.

Chauhan said that TPAS has been conducting International Photo Competitions in the past and has also conducted Workshops, Phooto walks, Photography Tours, Seminars, Talks/lectures on Photography regularly twice and also engaged in charitable activities. Mr Chauhan also revealed that the society will be holding photo exhibition on the eve of World Photograph Day falls on August 18 next. The society is planning more photographic activities in near future, he says.

Deep Bhatia said that TPAS would conduct its 3rd TPAS International Photography Competition very soon and will encourage and help maximum photo enthusiasts of the region to participate in this.
