Distribution of Groceries the needy continues by NSS volunteers

CHANDIGARH: In a bid to ward off hunger of the poor and needy, various organizations have been distributing food and grocery items across the city from the time the lock down was announced. In a continuous campaign, grocery items to 100 families were distributed on Friday in the premises of GMSSS, Dhanas, under the able and dynamic leadership of  Mr. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, Director, Higher Education (schools).
             
.Bikram Rana, SLO, NSS, Chandigarh Administration, led the good Samaritans in this noble cause and he was supported by the Principal Ms Seema Rani distributed the groceries and other household items to the needy people by the NSS volunteers in collaboration  with Bharat Scouts and Guides wing of Chandigarh Administration.  Items included groceries, stationery, toiletries, raw vegetables, sanitary napkins and masks were distributed.

 “Really, it is a motivational art of work which not only touches the hearts but also affirms beliefs to work for community which is the highest form of service during this pandemic, ” says Mr Rana.
