Chandigarh Golf Association co-founder JS Cheema dies

CHANDIGARH: President of Punjab Young Farmers Association and Co-Founder of Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA) Mr Jagdeep Singh Cheema (62) passed away here today morning.He was under treatment at PGI Chandigarh where he breathed his last.

Mr.J.S.Cheema,the son of pioneer of Green Revolution,Padam Shree late Dr.Amrik Singh Cheema, ormer Vice Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University,Ludhiana,struggled hard to uplift the farming community and to compete the mission of his father which were left unaccomplished.

He founded Dr.Amrik Singh Cheema Foundation Trust and was associated with many other social,religious and farmer organisations.He was General Secretary of All India Youth Congress and Chairman of Minority Department of Haryana Pardesh Congress Committee and Chairman of Sugerfed Haryana.

Bhog and Antim Ardaas will take place at Gurdwara Sec 8,Chandigarh on 18th December 18, from 1.30 to 2.30 p.m
