Schedule for RIMC enterance test announced

CHANDIGARH: The entrance examination for  admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun (Uttrakhand) for Jan 2020 Term will be conducted at Lala Lajpat Rai Bhawan, Sector-15, Chandigarh on 1st (Saturday) & 2nd (Sunday) June, 2019.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Directorate of Defence Services Welfare, Punjab informed that only boys are eligible to apply for the admission to the RIMC, Dehradun. Candidates appearing for the above test should not be less than 11½ years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on 01 January, 2020 i.e. they should have born not earlier than 02 January, 2007 and not later than 01 July, 2008. They should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC i.e. on 1st Jan 2020. Selected candidates will be given admission in Class-VIII. The Written part of the examination will consist of three papers namely, English, Mathematics & General Knowledge. Minimum pass marks in each paper including interview will be 50%. The viva-voce test will be held for only those candidates who qualify in the written exam & the date for the viva-voce test has been fixed as on 04 Oct, 2019.

The spokesperson further informed that copies of the application forms with prospectus and set of old question papers can be obtained from the Commandant RIMC Dehradun (U.K) on payment of Rs.600/- for General Candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST candidates alongwith cast certificate through demand draft in favour of the Commandant RIMC Dehradun payable at SBI, Tel Bhavan (Code-01576) Dehradun. The Address should be typed/written clearly in capital letters with the pin code and contact number. RIMC will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit of prospectus caused be illegible or incomplete address.

Application in duplicate in prescribed form and five passport size photographs, birth certificate, state domicile certificate and certificate from principal of the school, in original with photograph affixed on it duly attested, stating date of birth and class in which the student is studying.

Applications duly completed must reach Directorate Defence Services Welfare, Punjab, Sainik Bhawan, Sector 21-D, Chandigarh on or before 31 March, 2019. Applications received after 31 March, 2019 would not be entertained.
