RBU students get placements in Byju’s

MOHALI: Riding high on the crest of placements the Rayat Bahra University has achieved another milestone with Byju’s the Learning app, the largest K12 learning app in the world, hiring about half a dozen students of the  Rayat  Bahra University at a package ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.

Ramandeep Bhateja, from the Mechanical stream, Anmol Monga from the Computer Science and Electronics (CSE), Sakshi Raina (CSE) have been hired on a package of Rs 10 lakh per annum whereas Shalini Dhiman is being hired as a Trainee wherein she would be hired at Rs 3 LPA (Fixed) for a training of two months.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group, said that the Rayat Bahra students being equipped with industry relevant skills, there has been an upswing in placements and with more than 375 companies have visited different institutions of the Group. These include 183 in engineering and technology, 95 in management and computers, 35 in hotel management, 46 in pharmaceutical science and health sciences, and 20 in law and education. Students have been offered very attractive and lucrative pay packages.

Dr Daljit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said the university has introduced a number of new programs in collaboration with top multinational companies to increase the employment potential of the students. Among the new age programs in B Tech the courses offered include B Tech in Android Development  in collaboration with Google, IoT and Java in collaboration with Oracle, Database and Analytics in collaboration with IBM and B Tech in Design and Development in collaboration with Siemens. Madam Kanupriya from placement cell played a key role for organizing Byjus placement drive at RBU.

He said Think & Learn Pvt Ltd is a pioneer in the global edtech segment and the parent company of Byju’s, the Learning app, the largest K12 learning app in the world with over 10 million students. A winner of the Deloitte Fastest 50 India Award for six years in a row the company is a winner of the Fastest 300 Asia Award for the last three years. Byju’s the Learning App provides lessons in math and science for students from grade 4 to 12 through formats such as videos, tests, quizzes, personalized learning paths and even games.
