Rayat Bahra welcomes its new students

MOHALI: Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions, here today gave a clarion call to the new students of different institutions of the Rayat Bahra University to be focused on their studies and aim high. He counseled them to work hard to realize their dreams and assured that the Rayat Bahra Group would help them in that direction.

Addressing the students at an orientation programme for the freshers on the campus of the Rayat Bahra University he complimented them for having chosen one of the best universities in this part of the country.

Bahra said that over the years since its inception the Rayat Bahra University had carved a niche for itself in the field of education. It had introduced a large number of new age courses in collaboration with top multinational companies to increase the employment potential of the students.

He expressed hope that the students would find the environment on the campus conducive to academic pursuits and it would help them hone their skills. The students would find the faculty members as also senior students to be cooperative and willing to help them whenever needed.

Dr Daljit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, addressing the students said the University, one of the best in this part of the country, offered attractive scholarship schemes, had highest placement record, and had ultra modern facilities available for its students.
He said that since the Rayat Bahra students were equipped with industry relevant skills there had been an upswing in placements and more than 375 companies had visited different institutions of the Group. These included 183 in engineering and technology, 95 in management and computers, 35 in hotel management, 46 in pharmaceutical science and health sciences, and 20 in law and education. Students had been offered very attractive and lucrative pay packages. He further said that students from various countries as well as across India enrolled in technical, management, Sciences and medical and allied sciences courses.

Dr Singh said the lush green sprawling campus of the Rayat Bahra University provided a vibrant campus life offering ultra modern infrastructure to its students. Some of the important facilities worth mentioning included a huge 24-hour central library, computer labs, international level sports and recreational facilities, air-conditioned hostels, quality food prepared under strict hygienic conditions, wi-fi facility throughout the campus and round the clock security and CCTV cameras making the campus safe and secure.
