Punjab unaided College JAC to meet Union MinisterS Vijay Sampla & Gehlot at New Delhi

MOHALI: A delegation of Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Unaided Colleges will meet Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Vijay Sampla and Centre Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Thawar Chand Gehlot to follow for the pending Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) Funds on 31st January at New Delhi.

Dr. Anshu Kataria Spokesman, JAC while giving information said that the Financial Year is towards closing now. Already many of the Colleges are in trouble due to non release of funds and many more will turn to Non Profitable Assets (NPA) on 31st March because of pendency of over 1200 Crore of PMS towards the Centre Govt.

Ashwani Sekhri, Chairman, JAC said that because of non payment, Colleges are facing problems like NPA Accounts, Physical Possession, Cheque Bouncing cases, delay in the salaries, Mental Stress to the management and staff of the Unaided Colleges.

The delegation would be joined by Presidents of all 12 associations including Dr. J.S Dhaliwal, President, Punjab Unaided Technical Institutions Association; Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA; Jagjit Singh, President, B.Ed Federation; Charanjit Walia, President, Nursing Colleges Association; Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Academic Advisory Forum (AAF); Anil Chopra, Confederation of Punjab Unaided Institutions; Nirmal Singh, ETT Federation; Vipan Sharma, Polytechnic Association;  Jasnik Singh, B.Ed. Association, PU; Sukhmander Singh Chattha, Punjab Unaided Degree Colleges Association (PUDCA); Shimanshu Gupta, ITI Association; Dr. Satwinder Sandhu, B.Ed Association GNDU Colleges etc.
