Motivational lectures at Rayat Bahra University

MOHALI: University School of Engineering and Technology of the Rayat Bahra University organized a motivational talk by Guinness Book World Record Holder and TEDx speaker Arvind Mishra and Harjinder Singh Cheema, founder and Managing Director, Cheema Boilers Ltd.

The aim of the talk of Arvind Mishra was to motivate the students to achieve their goals in life. Mishra is a renowned TEDx speaker and holds a record in Guinness Book World Records for delivering marathon lecture for 139 hours, 42 minutes and 56 seconds.

He shared his incidents of life to motivate the students to achieve success. After meeting with an accident, he recuperated after four years and bounced back to take life head on. He covered the distance from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on cycle and during that journey he connected within. He urged the students to live in present, take risks without worrying about failure and to be clear with their goals.

Then the spree of motivation was continued by Harjinder Singh Cheema, founder and Managing Director, Cheema Boilers Ltd. He emphasised on five Cs of life which he said had changed his journey of life and led him to success. He told the students to have courage, confidence, communication, commitment and consistency.

He spoke about the importance of family in the achievement of success and said that success is in togetherness. To reach the desired goals one must not be worried about the obstacles and hardships, these should be taken as a blessing for growth.

Prof (Dr) Daljit Singh Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, in his address emphasised that success could be achieved with the blessings of Almighty coupled with hard work of the individual.

Prof (Dr) Ajay Goyal, Dean University School of Engineering and Technology, emphasised the role of positive thinking for success in life.
