Mega placement drive kicks off at RBU

MOHALI: A Mega Campus Placement Fortnight for Engineering and MBA 2018 batch passing out students got underway at the Rayat Bahra University campus today. The fortnight is being organised by the Rayat Bahra Group Department of Career Development and Placements with participation of 70 plus companies.
The placement fortnight has been organised for students of different Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions (RBGI). This drive was for students passing out MBA and BTech all streams batch 2018.
It is pertinent to mention that several students of the 2018 batch got placements on lucrative packages with different multinational companies (MNCs) like Wipro Limited, a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company, SearchBourne, which has an extensive network of actuarial professionals globally, Armentum, an organization registered in the US and operating under the legal identity of Kyari Consulting Private Limited in India, and Jaro Education, one of the leading service platforms, catering to the needs of working professionals.
Considering the demand of students some mid-size companies have also been invited for placement of students in their respective domains.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions, and Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, Singh said that with a view to enhance employability skills of the students the Rayat Bahra University had launched new-age programme for engineering and management students in collaboration with Google, Oracle, Apple, IBM, BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and many more. The University had brought a paradigm change in the way professional education is imparted in the country in collaboration with industry.
JMD Dr Sandeep Kaura stated that highest salary packages ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 27 lakh, meduim range packages from Rs 4 to Rs 7 lakh and average packages between Rs 2 to Rs 3.5 lakh are being offered to Rayat Bahra students . This is first time in this part of country that Campus Placements Fortnight is being organised by a Private University or College.
Dr Raj Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat-Bahra University, said that the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions (RBGI) with 16 years of academic excellence in the field of technical, professional and medical education has emerged as the biggest education group of the region. Presently the group is successfully running eight campuses including two Global Universities, five multi-disciplinary campuses and one Skill Development Centre having more than 55 institutes located in North India with more than 35,000 students and 6,000 employees on its rolls.
